Both working initially as associate dentists at Chicago and suburban practices, they decided to open an office of their own in Chicago’s Northside community, combining both of their dental specialties to create a unique dental experience for kids, adults and whole families. Here, at Brushin’ on Belmont, Dr. Monika and Dr. Robert‘s vision is to help create a lifetime of beautiful and healthy smiles for their patients.

Dr. Monika Govoni focuses primarily on comprehensive dental care for adult patients, integrating the latest dental solutions for treatment and prevention. Her use of advanced dental technology, combined with a warm and caring atmosphere, provides her patients with an approach to their dental health that is uncommon in today’s rushed world.

Dr. Govoni continues to attend advanced continuing education courses. She is a member of the prestigious Dawson Academy for Advanced Dental Studies which focuses on the concept of complete care dentistry, including dental occlusion, temporomandibular joints and comprehensive esthetic restorative dentistry.

She also holds a special interest in Integrative Medicine, a growing discipline whereby the goal is to understand the cause and effect relationship of health and disease. Knowing that her patients’ oral health is a direct reflection on their overall health and well-being. Dr. Monika Govoni feels it is her duty to promote this model of Integrative Dental Medicine for her patients through their education and the preventive and screening methods she has implemented here at Brushin’ on Belmont.

With this passion for mouth-body total health, Dr. Monika Govoni strives to continuously provide her patients with healthy, beautiful smiles that will function properly and serve them comfortably for years to come.

He has medical staff privileges at Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, where he treats patients and contributes to training of pediatric dental residents.

Dr. Govoni is an active member in the Northside community. He sponsors local little league baseball teams and coaches at Hamlin Park. He has trained coaches in the proper management of sport related dental injuries and also has donated emergency dental kits. In addition, he is a speaker and dental educator at local preschools and elementary schools where he discusses the importance of good oral habits with children to promote their healthy future.

He currently resides in the Roscoe Village area of Chicago with his wife, Dr. Monika Govoni who is our general and cosmetic dentist. The couple have three children, Jenna, Alex, and Emilie.

In his free time, Dr. Schwartz enjoys the outdoors, including sailing, kayaking, hiking, and camping with his family. He is also an enthusiastic Lego collector, particularly the Star Wars, NASA, and Creator collections.

Dr. Schwartz is a member of the American Academy of Orthodontists, the American Dental Association, the Illinois state dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, and the Illinois Society of Orthodontists.
