Dr. Ana Arruda is our talented orthodontist here at Brushin’ on Belmont, and we are lucky to work alongside her!
Dr. Ana Arruda began her education at Case Western Reserve University where she enrolled in the Pre-Professional Scholars Programs and earned a Doctor of Dental Medicine degree. She continued her education with two and a half additional years of training in Orthodontics at Saint Louis University. Dr. Arruda completed a Cleft Palate and Craniofacial Fellowship at Saint Louis Children’s Hospital during her orthodontic training and conducted research on white spot lesions in orthodontics, receiving a Master of Science in Dentistry degree.
Dr. Arruda was born in Ribeirão Preto, a city in the heart of São Paulo in Brazil. She moved to Ann Arbor, Michigan during her childhood. After growing up with a passion for sports, she went on to Case Western Reserve University to play collegiate soccer and begin her educational journey. She has been involved in numerous community service activities such as Children’s Miracle Network Fundraisers and Give Kids a Smile. In her spare time, she enjoys dancing, exercising, and spending time with family and friends.
Dr. Arruda believes a healthy smile is critical to a healthy life. Using the latest innovations in orthodontics, improvements in functional, orthopedic and aesthetic balance can be achieved with great efficiency in both children and adults. We are lucky to have Dr. Arruda with us, and we know that you will love her as much as we do!
